 Indent is dedicated to making space for the printed page, with the belief that this creates space for new ideas and inspiration—an antidote to digital distractions and daily hassles. Indent carries independent magazines, periodicals, books and zines with a focus on global art, music, design, literature, philosophical and political discourse, and under-represented cultures.

Owner Jeff Walloch founded Indent in 2018. He’s an artist, photographer, librarian and admirer of the art of walking, who is interested in printed pages, community building and making connections, especially through dynamic public spaces.

Currently, you can find Indent at Vein of Gold and online at www.indentmagazines.com and www.bookshop.org/shop/indent. Indent’s first retail shop was located in a co-op space on Mississippi Ave. in Portland, Oregon, along with Beacon Sound and Babylon Vintage.
